OMAD stands for One Meal A Day. The concept of one meal a day is self-explanatory, while intermittent fasting involves eating a few meals within a set number of hours. The most popular time frame is to eat during an eight-hour window and then fast for 16 hours. For example, you can eat from 8 am until 4 pm, then fast until 8 am the next day. With OMAD, people are having just one meal a day within a one-hour window and then fast again for almost 24 hours. 

Intermittent Fasting Schedules

When it comes to weight loss, many people have success with Intermittent Fasting by allowing a 4- to 6-hour window to eat, which creates a longer fasting time. Other ways to do Intermittent Fasting are to eat a healthy, wholesome diet for 5 days a week, then fast for 2, or to alternate one day of eating with one day of fasting.

Evidence is mounting that shows intermittent fasting helps trigger anti-aging effects, including the stimulation of HGH, or human growth hormone.
